Hello members and supporters of IASO!!
After much deliberation, the Executive Board finalized the schedule of meetings for the rest of the semester. We’ve got a couple of good movies lined up, an INTA Professor on board for our Speaker Series, a special Kaplan-sponsored GRE informational event, and more international trivia to quench your thirst for knowledge!! The IASO Executive Board has decided that for simplicity and consistency we will be having meetings every Tuesday at 6:00pm in Instructional Center 109. Mark your calendars now!!
Each meeting will vary in activity and theme, ranging from movie nights and debates to speaker series’ lectures and current event teas. We will post specific information regarding each week on our “Upcoming Events” page. Nonetheless, feel free to let us know what you would like to see from IASO this semester! We want your input! It’s the start of a new year and IASO is ready to welcome new members and welcome back returning ones!!
The International Affairs Student Organization (IASO), THE STUDENT ORGANIZATION, will be having our Welcome and Welcome Back Cookout this Tuesday, September 1st at 4:44pm! Come out to meet other INTA, IAML, EIA and generally internationally minded students, chat with professors and find out what IASO has going on this semester. As any good cookout should, we will have hotdogs and hamburgers, good music, and lots of fun games to play! You won’t want to miss out!
What: IASO Welcome and Welcome Back Cookout
When: Tuesday, September 1st at 4:44pm
Where: Volleyball courts and grill area behind the CRC fields on West Campus
Why: Great opportunity to socialize with other INTA students and enjoy FREE food!!

We will be having a general meeting this Wednesday at 6:00pm in IC 117 (the correct room this time!).
Come enjoy free food and an international short film, as we discuss where IASO is headed in the future and meet your new officers for the 2009-2010 school year! There will also be an advisor update and some general INTA announcements. Don’t miss out! We’ll see you there!

We are very excited about what’s going on in IASO this semester! In the coming months we will be having more Current Event teas with discussion of what’s happening around the world, watching international short films and having a spring cookout with field day games!
